Velázquez’s Bilingual Coffee House – Noche de Velázquez

“Together but not Combined”

Lynwood, California - December 9, 2005 - Velázquez Press in conjunction with Librería Martinez proudly brought a night of enlightenment. Noche de Velázquez is a place to express inner thoughts and feelings through poetry reading, open mic and even a translation contest.

The event featured a special guest appearance, the Velázquez Press Editor, Claudia P. Huesca. During the intermissions the audience enjoyed the live performances by the Aztec Dance Group KETZALILHUITL and Lynwood High’s own, Latin Angels.

The intended purpose was fulfilled; it was especially designed to share bilingual experiences with others. Plans are in the works for the next Noche de Velázquez. Noche de Velázquez was sponsored and supported by www.AskVelazquez.com.
