2008-08-26

WBusiness Books, the business imprint for New Win Publishing, has released The Lemonade Stand on the Corner: How to Start a Successful Business After 50, a guide for those baby-boomers who either aren’t ready to retire, or feel pressured by corporate cuts and downsizings.
In his book The Lemonade Stand on the Corner: How to Start a Successful Business After 50, author Victor Benoun not only shares how he became a successful entrepreneur, he tells the reader how he or she can do the same. “Can it be challenging? Yes,” says Benoun. “Can it be scary at times? Yes. Can it be exciting and rewarding? You Bet!”
Benoun takes the reader through a process that begins with making the decision to be an entrepreneur. From there Benoun walks the reader through a number of steps that include identifying personal strengths, targeting opportunities, preparing a plan and a budget, creating a support system and learning how to get going.
As a child, Benoun watched his father become a successful business man and knew that he wanted to do the same. From his first lemonade stand in his San Fernando Valley, California neighborhood, Benoun began his success training techniques. His enthusiasm was contagious and his personal service was respected. Soon he had a thriving business, at least until school started in September.
“In this book, Victor has created a complete step-by-step guide for the aspiring entrepreneur, covering everything from identifying a business opportunity to creating and growing a new company,” says Rick Wetzel, founder, Wetzel’s Pretzels. “It’s a ‘must read’ for anyone over 50 who wants to leverage their decades of experience into a new business venture.”
A graduate of California State University, Northridge Benoun is president of The Mortgage Source, Inc. a Studio City, California-based mortgage company. He is also president of The Victor Benoun Company, which he uses for entrepreneurial productions and coaching.
